This vision statement published by Education Reimagined, a group of educators brought together by the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution, is aimed at creating a learner-centered educational system in the United States. A key component of this vision is competency-based instruction and grading.

Grading for Learning 
This statements were the ones that resonated with me the most, “In this future, the education system is structured with the learner at its center. Learners seek mastery not only of core knowledge but also of skills and dispositions that promote lifelong success”. As a teacher, that is what my goal has been ever since I became teacher. But in practice, this is not the case. Change is definitely something that needs to happen to improve, motivate, challenge, and create lifelong learners for our students.
